Great Connection offers a state of the art solution, a complete end to end platform for DICOM communication.
The technology substitutes “Xeroxing”, “FedExing", CD burners and thermal printing. It also enables building DICOM networks with seamless workflow from the ultrasound modality, via a PACS to any destination without having to replace any equipment and infrastructure. The system offers three main services:
- Imaging portal with ability to send DICOM images to any cell-phone and email account, to a patient or Dr2Dr for consultations.
- DICOM routing, the ability to transport DICOM files between different modalities, PACS and software to promote unified record keeping.
- Real time image collaboration application that enables two or more medical staff personnel to collaborate in the same images simultaneously

Great Connection's technology empowers patients and provides them with access to their own medical data. The service can be used for patients educational purposes and engages the patient in their care. It also gives the patients the opportunity to keep control over their own images, store them for the future, upload them to 'Health Vault' ' and pass them on for a second opinion or just for fun.
