Milestones

 

Great Connection AB (the Swedish Inc) was founded in Sweden in late December 2007.

The first launch of Mobile Baby was in Stockholm in May 2009 at the well known Mamamia clinic.

At CES, The Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas 2009, Great Connection's technology was featured in Qualcomm CEO Dr Paul Jacobs key note speech, that was the first step in our partship with Qualcomm.

In the spring of 2010: Great Connection Inc was founded and headquartered in San Diego, USA and the company acquired the Swedish entity. The company also brought on a handful of angel investors.

In May 2011 Great Connection’s technology got approved by the FDA and later the same year the patent was granted by the US Patent Office.

The company also got a new board of directors and in the summer of 2011 Masood Jabbar, former President of Sun Microsystems Computer Corporation and executive Vice President of Global Sales Operations at Sun Microsystems Inc, took on the role as chairman of the board.

The company got the Fierce Award for being one of the 15 most fierce companies in 2011.

During the revolution in Egypt, Christmas 2010, a new Mobile Baby was born in the partnership with the mobile operator Mobinil and in February the following year the fist Saudi Arabian hospital group, the prestigious Sulaiman Al Habib was connected to the service in partnership with the mobile operator Mobily.

During spring 2011 a representation in the Middle East was established.

The fall of 2011 Great Connection communicated the launch of Mobile Baby in Dubai in partnerhip with the mobile operator Etisalat. In early 2012 the first reseller partnership was signed.
